Our story begins with the **2023 Blauer Arbst**. This ancient varietal once characterized the vineyards of Baden, long before Pinot Noir became known. Every sip brings back the tradition and passion of the old winemakers.

It is said that the Schwarzurban migrated with the "Welschen" from the Balkans to the Southern Alps over 3000 years ago – until Barbarossa discovered it and brought it to Swabia with his fiery red beard. Perhaps this explains why the **2023 Schwarzurban** appears so dark and luminous at the same time: tart like juniper and sloe, yet with a warm, cherry-like core. A hint of Pinot elegance, silky tannins. Whoever opens it drinks a piece of wandering history with an imperial touch.

The **2022 Franc Pineau** comes from the historic group of "Noirien" – once the basis of the best red wines north of the Alps. Due to a misidentification, the varietal almost completely disappeared and was only rediscovered by chance.
Today, it once again shows what made it so valuable: dark fruit, spice, and powerful depth combined with cool freshness.

In earlier times, a grape varietal was called "Möhrchen" – a synonym for Blauer Traminer – at home with the Merovingians between the Lower Rhine and Neustria, at the threshold of late antiquity and the early Middle Ages. Not an offshoot, but probably the origin of the entire Traminer family, bold, independent, and older than its famous descendants. The **2023 Blauer Traminer** flows purple into the glass, smells of dark berries, and appears cool, almost misty, yet deep and calm at the same time. A wine like a quiet ancestor: reserved in tone, great in effect.

For over 8000 years, our ancestors cultivated the vines of the Hartblau. An almost forgotten grape whose roots reach back to the Bronze Age. Crusaders brought it from the Caspian Sea to Germany, where it flourished in the vineyards of Franconia and Saxony – until it disappeared. But in 2007, it returned like a treasure from the past. Today, the **2022 Hartblau** with cedar wood, dark berries, and cool elegance tells of an ancient time and surprises everyone who believes that great German red wines only come from Pinot Noir.
